You're at an art museum, the beach — basically anywhere but a makeup store — and see a color that you think would make for a perfect lipstick color. You have two choices: Try to remember the color or get a crude cell phone picture and hope you can match it up later.

Well, now there's a third choice: Flawless, now available for free in the iTunes App Store under the name "Flawless Makeup."
According to Cosmopolitan, app developer Chris Merkle got the idea for Flawless when his girlfriend couldn't find her favorite lipstick color. It works like this: Snap a picture of the shade you like, no matter what it is, and the Flawless app analyzes the color and then finds the closest shades and lists them on the app for immediate purchase.

The app also gives you the option to custom-blend shades and even has an option to recreate a discontinued color for $45. That might seem steep, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
A rollout to other makeup categories is in the works, as is an Android version, but if you're in the market for hard-to-find lipsticks, this is definitely for you. And maybe it'll even help you create a new shade that people will be begging you to buy.
