When I think of holiday wear, two things always come to mind — the color red and sweaters. I also wanted to add some booties into the mix because they're fun and super cute. I decided to throw together two holiday ready looks that I will most likely be rocking throughout the season!
I absolutely love belted cardigans, jackets and coats. It gives the illusion of a smaller waist. I really like this cardigan I purchased from Red Dress Boutique a few weeks ago. The light tan color is beautiful and the cardigan itself is very versatile. It looks great paired with a dress, like I did for this post! It also looks lovely paired with jeans and a simple V-neck with minimal accessories. You can dress it up or down as much as you like! This cardigan is asymmetrical, which is also flattering for your figure. I'm all about finding pieces that flatter my body and make me feel like a rock star when I'm wearing them. This cardigan seems to be temporarily out of stock, but RDB restocks many of their popular items.
In the mean time, here are two similar cardigans: Brooklyn Cardigan from Gap (I actually tried this on in the store and it is beautiful!) and Free People Asymmetrical Belted Cardiganfrom Macy's (psssst, this is on sale). The dress in this look is also from Red Dress Boutique. I got this dress quite a while ago, so it's unavailable on their website. Here is a beautiful dress that is quite similar to the one pictured, and it is a reasonable price!
I love these cute booties I wore with both outfits. Here are a couple of pairs of taupe colored — and affordable — booties that I love: Nitty Pretty Taupe High Heel Boots from Lulu's and Side-zip Chunky Heel Booties from Charlotte Russe.
This outfit features a super fun ruffled top and my favorite jeans ever. Gap's resolution denim is the bomb. It is super flattering and never loses its shape, like some jeans do. I loathe jeans that get saggy throughout the day. These jeans fit like a super pricey brand but for half the cost. Gap jeans are also of amazing quality. They seem to be made a little long, but I am only 5'4, so I opt for the 'short' sizes and I am good to go. I rolled them up a little for this look. You can check out the pair of jeans I am wearing right.
I also love this top. It isn't something I would wear on an everyday basis, but it's awesome for holiday dinners, parties or when you just feel a little dressy but you still want to wear jeans. I got this top forever ago from Impressions boutique, and I sadly could not find this style anywhere! I found some contenders I love: Take a Chill Frill top from The Mint Julep Boutique and Love Comes Easy top also from Mint Julep Boutique.
I paired this with a cute tassel necklace. I love the tassel necklace trend. You can check out some of my favorite picks: Kendra Scott Rayne necklace, the Jillian necklace from Mint Julep Boutique, and Sheer Luck necklace from Red Dress Boutique.
