Hoffman is well-known for her traditional brights and bold patterns, but this season, she's experimenting with a softer color palette. "It was the natural next step for me and also a reminder to our consumer to take a breath. I really wanted this collection to balance out the rest and speak to the evolution that the brand is currently going through," she says.

Keeping this more delicate color palette in mind, Hoffman's spring 2015 collection is very much inspired by light and dominated by fresh, clean cuts, wide-leg pants and lights and brights. Of course, she's also inspired by the beautiful women she encounters all the time and the emerging body image movement: "I am always inspired by and designing for a vast variety of body shapes. Positive body image is something I heavily encourage as a woman and designer!"

Amen to that, am I right? Lucky for us, Hoffman will be showing her new collection off this weekend in New York City, so we won't have to wait too long to ogle it. We will, however, have to wait a few months to put the new pieces into our style rotation. In the meantime, we're content to experiment with fun fall style, and so is Hoffman. She cites "great knits, strong outwear pieces and vintage Levi's" as three of her must-haves for the cooler months ahead.

As the seasons change and fall approaches, many women clean out and edit down their closet, and Hoffman has a valuable tip for paring down your wardrobe: "Spend more on a smaller assortment of nicer pieces as opposed to less on a larger assortment of disposable pieces. For fall and winter, I like to invest in fantastic shoes and knits," she says.

Fall is known for its comfy, cozy styles, and Hoffman is all about that. When asked what the best piece of fashion advice she's ever received and given is, she replied "When you feel comfy and beautiful, you look comfy and beautiful."

We couldn't have said it any better ourselves.
