With that in mind, I was super excited to see her new line of 12 bridesmaid dresses for Paper Crown in Martha Stewart Weddings this month. Unlike most frocks brides have their friends fitted in for their big day, these actually validate the whole, "You can shorten it and wear it again!" joke from the movie 27 Dresses. If the photos are any indication, you definitely could.

Even cooler, LC's friends are actually going to wear these gowns when she says "I do" to fiancé William Tell in October. According to the designer, she wanted to break the mold of a traditional bridesmaid look. "I sent them all the different shapes and let them pick from two colors," she told Martha Stewart. "I don't mind if there are a few girls in the same dress, or if people are all in different ones. It's too difficult to take a group of girls and put them in the same color and silhouette; everyone has their own style... They're all individuals, so it's nice that it doesn't look too uniform."

Not only does every bridesmaid have her own style, but she also has her own body type and skin tone. You can keep the same scheme, so your wedding party appears cohesive, but allowing for more cuts and colors will ensure all your bridesmaids feel comfortable and gorgeous on your big day.

So, I'm feeling these frocks, guys. It just goes to show deviating from the common "matchy-matchy" thing you see at so many weddings can totally work. Too bad I'm not tying the knot anytime soon, or I'd definitely look into LC's Paper Crown line upon launch. (Rats!)
