You know spring is in the air when all the fashionable celebs start showing off their prized pastel styles. Not one to be outdone, Emmy Rossum made us green with envy this week when she rocked this shades of mint ensemble.
Mint green and seafoam have always been my favorite spring colors. There's just something so fresh and light about the colors that just screams warmer weather. When paired with seafoam ballet flats and a studded mint crossbody bag, Emmy's lacy blue sweater (layered over a simple gray dress) takes on a dreamy air of polished spring perfection. I'm loving the fun layering going on here and think Emmy could teach us all a thing or two about mixing complementary colors.
The final verdict? As if she didn't look sweet enough, Emmy added bouncy waves, a soft mani and cute shades. Looking good, girl!
Kellie Pickler
Forget pink, Kellie Pickler was pretty in purple at this weekend's 49th Annual ACM Awards. The country crooner definitely wins our best dressed award in this dreamy pastel gown.
Much like mint, soft purples can easily make you go weak in the knees with major fashion envy. Kellie's ruched sweetheart neckline and waist-enhancing jewel detail add some gorgeous femininity, but it's the unexpected ombre-like color gradation on the gown's train that really caught our eye. Playing with different shades toughens up the otherwise sweet dress a bit and really makes it stand out.
The final verdict? Kellie committed to the purple theme with a pop of color on her nails and eyes, a pretty purple ring and seriously glowing skin. For a soft finishing touch, she wore her blond locks in side parted waves. Pretty, right?
