Okay, it's true: We get a little — or a lot — excited about designer collaborations with budget retailers. After all, it's probably the easiest — and least expensive — way we can get our mitts on gear from designers like Prabal Gurung and Missoni.
This one takes the cake, though: Designer Derek Lam has partnered with Kohl's for a Brazil-inspired collection that'll hit stores on April 5. Lam traveled to the South American nation to get inspiration for the line, which includes plenty of beach-worthy dresses and bold prints.

"In Rio, I went everywhere. I enjoyed incredible meals, visited local artists and museums and enjoyed the beach. I was inspired by the atmosphere and engulfed in the culture,"Lam said of the collection.
"Rio de Janeiro is a city that bridges the old with the new, where you can't separate what is natural from what is man-made," Lam continued. "This DesigNation collection with Kohl's serves as an ally to modern women, embracing the spirit of Rio and providing beautiful, inspired clothing at an affordable price."
The pieces will range from $36 to $88 and will be on sale until mid-May. Our favorites? We're loving the Fittest Boatneck Dress worn by Emmy Rossum and the Tab-Collared Tunic worn recently by Blake Lively .
