... But if you're looking for a few new trends to test out this season, here is a list of our absolute must-haves for spring.

Floral pumps

shoes

Loft Petra Multicolored Floral Print Pumps $80

We saw a bounty of florals on the spring runways — everyone from Rebecca Taylor to Jason Wu showed these flirty and girly prints in their collections.

Where it's appropriate:

Everywhere! The good news is floral pumps are so hot that you can pretty much wear them everywhere: to the office, to dinner or even to weekend brunch with the girls.

How to wear:

Since a floral print is so fun and vibrant, you'll want to show them off. So don't cover up the heels with long pants.

Opt for a neutral, flowy skirt to the knee to make your shoes the standout piece in your ensemble.

Lucite heels

shoes

Kate Spade New York Illaria Heels $358

Looking to really make a statement? Give Lucite heels a spin! And yes, while you may think they're only for trashy girls, that's not the case! Nina Ricci and Fendi displayed them in their spring runway shows. Meaning: They're totally chic now! Some of New York City's top style bloggers can't get enough of the trend either! "Lucite heels are a great way to lengthen any frame without adding chunky distractions," said Justin Livingston of fashion blog scoutsixteen.com.

Where it's appropriate:

The see-through detailing may not be appropriate for the office, so save your Lucite looks for the weekends when you're ready to let your hair down and party.

How to wear:

Anything too short on the bottom will make Lucite heels look a bit tacky, so try a classic, tapered black pant for a super modern look. The tapered detailing will come in right at the ankle to really highlight the heels.

Cork wedges

shoes

DV by Dolce Vita Tremor Wedges $79

You've probably invested in wedges over the last few years because they've continued to be a major spring trend. But, this season, give the classic wedge a little something extra with cork detailing!

Where it's appropriate:

Cork screams casual, so it's best to rock cork wedges when you're off duty. The best part? Wedges are meant to be comfortable with the support on the bottom, so you'll look like you're wearing heels, even though you're not for those long strolls in the park with your man.

How to wear:

Since wedges have a heel-esque quality to them, they'll instantly make your legs look slim and toned by giving the illusion that your legs are elongated. So a skirt on the bottom is best.

Black and white stilettos

shoes

L.A.M.B. Ohio Heels $355

There's nothing more classic and sophisticated than a black and white ensemble, so try a splash of this chic combo in your footwear this spring — just like Derek Lam did in his spring show.

Where it's appropriate:

While you technically could wear this style anywhere, a fierce stiletto makes the biggest statement in a work setting.

Walk into your office with a killer pair of heels, and your colleagues will instantly know you mean business.

How to wear:

If you really want to create the illusion of a powerful businesswoman, try a sleek suit in white or black to complement the white and black stilettos.

Pointy-toe flats

shoes

VC Signature Chicago Flats $195

Not a heel girl? Don't despair — you can still look insanely adorable and fashionable with flats this season. Especially vibrant pointy flats!

Ericka Goodman, Fashion Editor at Ebony Magazine says, "Sighted in the collections of our generation’s greatest of shoe makers like Nicholas Kirkwood and Edmundo Castillo, these designers remixed this style with geometric prints and brocade finishes, making them an 'it' item for spring 2013."

Where it's appropriate:

Either at work or on the weekends! Have a job where you're running around? A pointy flat will look professional, while remaining comfortable. The same goes for more casual attire. Something pointy, paired with jeans, a tee and cardigan looks put together, yet laid-back.

How to wear:

It's best to wear pointy flats with pants, rather than skirts. A skirt will put full attention on the feet, which could result in your feet looking big and long because they're flat on the floor.
