Adele
We just love Adele's amazing voice and her adorable accent to death and we totally respect her for trying something other than her usual go-to black dress at the Grammy Awards, but this Valentino couture number is hitting all of the wrong notes.
The ornate red floral pattern is extremely busy to begin with and the high waist and tea-length hem aren't doing Adele's figure any favors. When this dress was originally shown on the runway, it was floor length and we think that version would've suited the singer so much better.
Also, Adele's red and black patterned shoes are so matchy matchy! A simple black or red pump would have worked nicely. Her updo and makeup look nice, though.
The final verdict? Although this look isn't our favorite, Adele went home a winner when she scored Best Pop Solo performance. Congratulations and props for trying something new wardrobe-wise, even if it didn't quite work.
Florence Welch
Here we have another case of when bad fashion happens to amazing singers with Florence Welch. The Florence + the Machine singer has powerful pipes but her fashion sense could use some fine tuning.
Her green Givenchy gown isn't inherently awful... the green sequined fabric is pretty and the gown is well-fitted, but it's those spiked accents everywhere that are painful for us. The dress featured spikes on the shoulder, arms and torso and reminded us of a dinosaur or a reptile.
A few strategically placed spikes on your shoes or perhaps just on the shoulders can add a fun edge to an outfit, but these are just overkill.
The final verdict? Flo's fashion don't could be turned into a do if she just ditched those allover spikes. Her emerald gown is tailored to a T and the color looks lovely next to her red hair and skin tone.
