Alice + Olivia
Designer Stacey Bendet premiered her beautiful fall collection for a who's who of young Hollywood Monday night.
Celebrities always come out for Alice + Olivia's NYFW presentations, and Monday night was no exception. Vanessa Hudgens, Victoria Justice, AnnaSophia Robb, Maggie Grace and many more all headed downtown to Highline Studios to see the eclectic fall collection, which had everything from motorcycle jackets to full length feathered and lacy gowns.
"The whole concept of the show is fantasy street style, so just kind of taking girls and having them dressed up and layered in really unexpected, sexy, romantic ways," designer Stacey Bendet explained to SheKnows.
Vanessa, wearing a retro black and white poodle skirt from the line, praised the designer for her variety. "Her style is just so versatile," she told SheKnows of why she's such a fan. "You can dress up in an outfit and feel super chic and classy and dress up in another and feel like you're from the '50s. It's just so fun."
Vanessa made a beeline on the red carpet for AnnaSophia, who costars with her boyfriend Austin Butler in The Carrie Diaries, before heading inside to check out all the fashion and trends. The models all wore double braided hairstyles and some of them donned flowered headpieces as well. Their makeup was done by Stila Cosmetics and featured a gold eyeshadow and wine colored lipstick.
If you love the look and want to recreate it yourself, here's how. "Take a gold shimmer eyeshadow and dampen your brush first and paint it on. That makes it stand out strong and sexy," explains Sarah Lucero, who did all of the makeup for the show, "My favorite tip to make a dark lip last is to use a lip brush to apply it and really embed the lip color."
