Carrie Underwood is definitely no stranger to the red carpet, and while the blonde bombshell typically plays it safe when it comes to her fashion choices, she always seems to hit the nail right on the head no matter what she dons. And, of course, tonight was no exception.
“I thought sticking with something kind of classic glam would be good for tonight,” said Underwood about her mermaid-style, strapless black Roberto Cavalli gown with a sheer overlay skirt. We couldn’t agree more. It flatters her figure perfectly and the pattern and fit are tres chic, wouldn’t you agree?
On her neck, Carrie decided to seriously amp up the bling, sporting a stunning 381-carat diamond necklace that she jokingly claimed was worth more than her. Psh, girl as if! You know you’re priceless!
When asked by Ryan Seacrest if it was heavy though, Carrie stated, “It’s heavy on my soul. I’m afraid someone’s going to tackle me.” Don’t worry Carrie, we think you’re safe at the Grammys.
To complete her ensemble, she finished off her look with a black smoky eye and rocked her signature blonde waves. Overall, we think she did a great job, even if it wasn’t anything too shocking or out of her comfort zone.
