Heading to a holiday party ? Then amazing hair is a must, girl! Curious about what looks will make an impact this season, I headed to my trusted friend Jeffrey Lyle of Boston's renowned Jeffrey Lyle Salon. With a few of his favorite local bloggers as models, Jeffrey transformed their hair into 'dos that are bound to impress.

Unbelieveable updo

Unbelievable updo

Blogger Mon Petit Chou Chou knows the value of a polished updo and wanted exactly that for her standout holiday look. "She wanted a modern version of an Audrey Hepburn-inspired French twist," Jeffrey says. Steal the look with these tips!

  1. Start with day old hair .
  2. You want to build a base, so spray a dry shampoo at the root all over the crown.
  3. Next, take a "U" shaped section from temple to temple and secure up out of the way.
  4. Working on the bottom section, brush one side toward the center back, next brush the opposite in the same direction, wrapping around your finger to create the twist and secure with pins.
  5. Take the top section down and working forward, take 1-inch sections and lightly tease the base. As you move toward the front, smooth the front of the sections.
  6. Create the desired height you wish in the back and start brushing teased sections backwards and wrapping around the bump in a "C" shape.
  7. Secure each pulled back section with pins.
  8. Leave your bangs out and loosely pull sides out.

Bombshell tresses

Bombshell tresses

'Tis the season to "tress" to impress! The blogger behind Spreedia was jonesing for a look that screamed "bombshell.""This is inspired by the Victoria's Secret hair every woman wants," Jeffrey says. Steal her style with these tips!

  1. Start by taking vertical sections and work your way up and around the head with a curling iron.
  2. Secure each section with pins to allow them to cool and set.
  3. Trick: The longer you allow the hair to cool, the stronger the curl will be.
  4. Once you reach the top and crown area, your sections should be horizontal. These sections should be larger for a looser curl.
  5. After allowing the set to cool for at least 10 minutes, take all pins but the front ones out.
  6. Work your fingers through hair to break it up.
  7. If you find your hair is too curly, use a brush and lightly run through your hair.
  8. Remove the front piece and let fall in place.
  9. Finish with a light hold hairspray.

Beautiful bob

Beautiful bob

Seeing as though short hair is pretty in vogue right now, it's no surprise that the Boston Fashionista wanted a classic 'do. "She wanted a '40s-inspired bob," Jeffrey says. Get your own beautiful bob with these tricks!

  1. This look works best on a layered haircut.
  2. Start with a basic roller set. I recommend taking zigzag sections to avoid leaving a line.
  3. After completion, spray with hairspray and allow to cool.
  4. Depending on your length, pin the underneath sections up to create the length of the desired bob.
  5. Allow the top layers to fall over to create the new outline of the bob length.
  6. Brush the bang section back at the part and the length to fall over the eye .

Bonus tip

We all know getting ready for holiday parties can cause unwanted stress. But did you know that stress can actually cause sweat that smells worse than your average perspiration? Yuck. This party season, we're planning to beat stress with Secret Clinical Strength antiperspirant/deodorant! The product is proven to be four times more effective at preventing stress-induced underarm wetness than a regular antiperspirant/deodorant .
