With fall approaching, it's important to put some things away to make room for clothes that will enhance your wardrobe and stir up some fresh new outfits. A serious maneuvering of your closet will make your life 10 times more sensible and far less chaotic!
It's amazing how just a few pieces along with eye-popping accessories can change up everything. Those broken-in khakis you love to wear may not work with the sunflower camisole, but adding a ribbed, slouchy V-neck sweater would totally fly. So while you can keep some summer pieces that you loved to throw on, they can be transitioned into fall with just a simple switch-up.
What to add for fall:
1. D'Orsay Pumps
A suede or leather d'Orsay-style pump is classic, yet on trend. You can wear just about anything with this shoe. French Connection's patent and soft suede version in monarch blue is striking and beautiful. Get them here.
2. Suede coat
I won't lie and say that the 1970s resurgence isn't in full effect this season, so I included this premium suede coat that looks like it came straight out of Mahogany. A standout coat that includes structured details and a belt would seriously breathe life into your fall wardrobe.
3. Round satchel cross-body bag
Another must-have accessory is a saddle or cross-body bag. Try it in a round or square shape with cool details such as a fringe attachment, studded accents or cool textures. Wear it to work and after hours with endless outfit options.
4. Bandana scarf
Now here is a trend that can fall under the Western girl swag or city chic. You can incorporate a bandana scarf into your casual outfits, such as flared or skinny jeans and a striped boatneck shirt. Some also rock it with a shirt dress and moto jacket. This urban outfitters version is more oversized, but you can also try this in a standard smaller size.
5. Long waistcoat
The long waistcoat is a great alternative to a jacket or cardigan. It's extremely stylish, great for those classy ensembles or more edgy outfits for a nighttime event. If you're into layering in the fall, or just want to try the trend, this is an excellent piece.
6. Cropped wide-leg jeans
Tired of your skinny jeans, or just ready for a new fit? Some brands are giving us more choices. Cropped wide-leg jeans work for any season, but I think fall will be an ideal time to play with this style.
7. Ribbed sweater
Get you a new and improved comfy sweater for the season — one that has subtle tweaks such as split hems, an asymmetrical cut or raglan sleeves.
