Constantly being told that for someone who has given birth four times, Henderson has the “perfect” body, the solo singer and songwriter decided to upload a photo of her stomach to Facebook to shed a little light on her perfect imperfections.
"Everyone always compliments me on how I have such a 'perfect' body after four kids,” she writes. “I decided to upload this pic and leave my belly 'unedited' 'unphotoshopped' because I used to struggle with accepting my body."

There is no denying that pregnancy takes a heavy toll on a woman’s body. Oftentimes we are quick to focus on the weight gain from inevitably eating for two (babies like cake, right?), but aside from the extra pounds, as a baby develops and grows inside a woman’s uterus, the mother’s abdomen stretches to make room for the child. Weight gain is only half the battle after giving birth. Women also struggle with loose skin and labor scars.

"I used to have a six pack before my babies," Henderson goes on. "And now even though I work out I know its not going to make my loose skin tight.. Or my stretch marks disappear ever lol and I'm ok with that because everyday I get to wake up to 4 beautiful smiling faces and I'm reminded that they are worth this flabby belly and they are worth these stretch marks."

There are many women who, after giving birth, are able to whip their bodies back into shape. For others, that is not the case, and oftentimes the struggle is all too real. It is important to remember, as Henderson would like to point out, the beautiful process your body has been through and that when you wake up in the morning, there is the life that you made, that you carried in your body and brought into this world. There is nothing more beautiful than that, even a six-pack.
