The day to night item:
Do you ever pack unnecessary items that you never end up wearing or using? I always try to pack multi-purpose items; whether it's a maxi dress that easily transitions from daytime casual to evening formal, or a leather jacket that's the perfect cover-up for day or night, making extensive use of each piece is a great tip. This way you won't clutter your suitcase with the unnecessary.
The statement piece:
Pick a special piece to pack that you will love to wear not only because it will make heads turn, but because it makes you feel special and beautiful. This way you won't become bored with any of your multi-use items. Try a statement lipstick or shoe.
Destination appropriate:
Remember the phrase "blending in with the locals"? Having a clear vision in mind of my destination location and vibe, I can pack items that make sense. Do some research on the place your about to visit to get a feel for what people wear and the lifestyle. Wearing black in the city, or not getting too fancy in the countryside are examples of having location know-how. This way you will always feel comfortable and happy with what you packed!
