Beauty starts from within. No amount of face cream, no matter how expensive it is, can make you look fantastic if things on the inside are not working at their optimum level. There are countless things that are super important to maintaining inner beauty. To get your hair, skin and nails healthy on the outside, it truly does begin on the inside. There are many easy things you can do to achieve this to make you look and feel your best so that your outer beauty will shine through.
Get your rest
It is important to get the right amount of sleep every night. While we all seem to live the overscheduled 24/7 lifestyle these days, not getting 7-8 hours of sleep each night will take its toll sooner or later. It will show up, especially on your skin. Try to go to bed at the same time every night and get up at the same time every morning so your body gets into a normal rhythm. If you need a little extra sleep on the weekends, that is OK if shorted yourself over the week.
Supplements
Your body might need extra support like vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants and supplements are a great way to get your body that support it needs. Hair, skin and nails will get the extra boost from taking daily supplements which are super easy to fit into your daily routine. Set your bottle of supplements next to your coffee pot or toothbrush, something you do daily, so you remember to make it part of your morning. As soon as you start taking a supplement, you may notice a difference in how much better you look and feel.
Hydration
I'm sure you have heard that drinking eight glasses of water a day is essential to your health and it is, but... you really need more than that. Just a bit. Basically, you need to stay hydrated, and for women, that means about nine cups of water a day to keep things working properly on the inside. You see, water flushes toxins out of your system as it carries nutrients from your food and supplements to your cells. It helps to keep things "moving" properly so that food is digested and you feel better. It also helps skin look less sallow when hydrated and that means that you will take on the look of a glow with less lines and wrinkles when hydrated. Those are plenty of reasons to drink a few extra glasses of water!
Stress less
Stress can show so much on every part of your outer self especially on your face, so doing as much as you can to minimize the stress will benefit you and how you look and feel in the long run. Exercise is a great stress reliever and that can be as simple as going for a short walk. Another great stress reliever is a "time out." Create a "time out" by lighting a candle in your bedroom or bathroom, playing some soft music, meditating, reading a book, or flipping through some photos. Just by doing this for 20 minutes in the middle of the day will calm your heart rate and reset your mind for the rest of the day.
