Materials:
- 1 glow stick
- Nail polish in clear or a color matching your glow stick
- Scissors
Directions:
Step 1: Get glowing
Start by activating your glow stick by giving it a snap and a few shakes. Once your glow stick is glowing, it's ready to use!
Step 2: Cut in half
Carefully cut your glow stick in half with sharp scissors. Be careful not to spill any of the liquid out.
Step 3: Add the glow to your polish
Squeeze the glowing contents of the glow stick into your nail polish. If you're having trouble getting it all out, you can also cut the top end of the glow stick to allow the liquid to flow down more easily.
Step 4: Shake it up!
Thoroughly mix your nail polish with the glowing solution by giving your nail polish bottle a quick shake. Make sure the glow is evenly distributed through the polish.
Step 5: Apply your new glow-in-the-dark polish
Apply your newly mixed glow nail polish to your nails. If you are using a dark base like I am, you'll probably need 3 to 4 coats to get a good glow. If you're using a lighter color base like white or a neon color, 2 to 3 coats of polish should be enough. You should see a little bit of the glow in your nail polish almost immediately. Your nail polish may take a little longer to dry than usual, so try to apply it in thin layers.
Step 6: Get in the dark
Once your nails are painted, test your glow out in a dark room! Your nails should maintain their glow for the next few hours!
