5 Ways to wear metallic eyeliner
The triangle
Step 1:
Take a metallic eyeliner pencil (creamy pencils glide on easiest); starting at the outer corner of your eye, draw a line along your lash line and stop halfway across.
Step 2:
Draw a second line along your bottom lash line and stop halfway across (mimicking what you did on the top).
Step 3:
The eyeliner shape should look like a sideways triangle. This shape is unique and fun, but doesn't scream eyeliner!
Undereye
Step 1:
Draw a straight line across your lower lash line only (starting at the outer corner going inward works best).
Step 2:
Go over the line twice for more intense color.
Step 3:
Crease
Step 1:
Starting at the outer corner of your eye, draw a thick line along the crease of your eyelid with the eyeliner. (Tip: use a waterproof eyeliner. It's helpful to apply an eyeshadow primer first to prevent natural eye oils from smearing the eyeliner throughout the day.) The shape of this line should be slightly curved, like a half moon.
Step 2:
Repeat this line on the other eye. Go back over for more intense color.
Step 3:
This look is an unexpected fun pop, especially when you look down.
Top lid
Step 1.
Make a thick straight line along your top lashes only. Make the line thick enough so the eyeliner is visible when your eye is open. This application lets you rock the trend in a classy way.
Step 2:
Repeat this line on the other eye.
Step 3:
Finished.
Inner rims
Step 1:
Take your metallic eyeliner and line only the inner rim of your bottom lashline (you may need to go over two times to make the liner pop).
Step 2:
Repeat this motion on the top inner rim of your lashline. (Tip: it's easiest if you tip your head back and gently pull the eyelid up, while looking into a mirror.)
Step 3:
You can wear this liner look alone or combine with any eyeshadow. Wearing metallic eyeliner only on your inner rims gives your eyes a subtle but sassy pop.
