Even though shopping is ah-mazing, when you're wiped after a long day it's tough to squeeze in that "me" time you're craving (especially if your fave boutique is across town). Enter mobile shopping boutiques, where the fashions come to you. Fashion trucks are slowly evolving into a popular and unique shopping experience for women across the country, making it uber-convenient to treat yourself or find the perfect gift for your BFF's birthday — and all during your lunch break.
Here's a sampling of the fabulous mobile fashion boutiques around the U.S.:
1. Fashion In Motion — Chicago
Fashion in Motion is based in Chicago and sells everything from handmade jewelry to vintage fashions you can't find anywhere else. You can also book them for parties and events.
2. The Fashion Truck — Boston
Emily Benson, owner of The Fashion Truck, was inspired by the food truck revolution and in 2011 opened up shop (or rather, truck) to offer new apparel and accessories to women in a fun and convenient way.
3. Le Fashion Truck — California
Le Fashion Truck tours various locations throughout Los Angeles for the woman on the go (and on behalf of those women, yay). They feature clothing and accessories by emerging designers, including handmade jewelry and handbags.
4. Shoe Bar — Houston
Shoe Bar in Houston is every woman's dream (seriously, I had a dream about a trolley car full of shoes once). Brands carried include Steve Madden, Chinese Laundry and BCBG.
5. Street Boutique — Washington
Known as The DC Fashion Truck, Street Boutique keeps tabs on the fashionistas in the Washington, Northern Virginia and Maryland areas. It's important to snap up fashions when you fall in love with them (and you will), since they only carry items once. Snap. Them. Up.
6. Trendy Truck — Florida
The Trendy Truck is South Florida's first boutique on wheels — complete with air conditioning and a dressing room. Their motto is adorbs: Stop, shop and roll.
7. Ooo la la Fashion Truck — New York
After launching her brick-and-mortar boutique in 2010, fashion lover Crista Botticello launched Ooo la la Fashion Truck in the fall of 2012. Filled with fashions based on New York City and Los Angeles trends, Ooo la la is also available for private shopping parties, fashion shows and events.
