I tend to neglectfully pass what's already in my closet because I'm constantly trying to check off something from my wish list. We all know things start to get old and tired to us, and sadly sometimes you may just forget what you have. Trying to rejuvenate older clothes can be underwhelming, but once you really take a deep breath and weed through the mess, there are some true gems lying right there for you. I like to call it the closet remix. Taking what you already own and remixing it with other pieces to create an entire new look. It's refreshing and keeps our creative juices flowing.
In this segment, I show you how I used three of my favorite items from my closet and styled them three different ways. You know those statement pieces we all have or even the "favorite printed dress" or "jeans" we never want to depart from? I put myself to the challenge and remixed my floral mini dress, skinny white jeans, and black jumpsuit for new and improved ensembles. It was a lot of fun and now I know that I don't need to run to the store to get that new skirt for dinner every time the opportunity presents itself. Let's work with what we own and make it the best possible outfit.
Floral Dress
Prim & Proper - I wore this dress with pink embellished flats, statement necklace, and navy blue bag. Great day time look for the classy girl.
Western Grunge - Laid back with a pair of fringe booties takes this bright floral dress down a notch and lends it's festival appeal easily.
Retro Mod - The platforms and blue turban took this modern dress straight to the 60's era. One of my favorite looks.
White Jeans
Sexy Date Night - Throw on a mini-dress over your ankle gazing skinny jeans for a unexpected pairing. Black and white is perfect for a night on the town.
Preppy - Dress down your jeans with an adorable color block sweater and a little peek of plaid.
Safari Chic - Go on the wild side with a wide brim hat and camouflage jacket.
Black Jumpsuit
Minimalist - Keep it simple with a layered heather gray shirt and classic aviators. A sleek pump or sandal will do the trick also.
Glam - A little bling goes a long way. It's all in the accessories when you are wearing a sexy pantsuit.
Bohemian Luxe - Stay relaxed in a pair of embellished flats and beaded jewelry.
