Fergie takes over NYFW
Fergie hosts a runway show for Case-Mate’s trendy new line at New York Fashion Week and chats with SheKnows about her own personal style.
"The Dutchess" Fergie looked G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S as always Wednesday night as she hosted a runway show at New York Fashion Week for the cool new cell phone covers by Case-Mate.
"We’re having the first ever fashion show to showcase the cases," said Fergie. "It’s all about accessorizing. It’s like jewelry, a statement piece. It says a lot about who you are."
With her sparkling personality, Fergie’s gold glitter case was the perfect choice to complement her gold-accented Balmain jacket and Fergie Footwear.
Her favorite trends
Though she told us she didn’t have a chance to attend her favorite designers' shows because she just got in town, she did give us the scoop on what looks she’s loving right now.
"I love Marc Jacobs," said Fergie. "I love the vertical stripes. I can’t wait to try that on. It would be good for curvy girls like me."
Beauty-wise, Fergie said she’s digging Wet N Wild’s affordable products. The singer sported a pretty lip tint called "Just Peachy" and told us she is releasing her own nail polish line for the company soon.
"This is velvet lounge from my nail collection which I’m launching," she told us of her moody dark red tips.
Fergie's fashion crush
As for stylish celebs she admires, Fergie told us fellow crooner Kelly Osbourne is a favorite.
"She’s looking hot right now," she told us of the Fashion Police host.
Personal style
Though Fergie always looks fabulous, she told us that at home, she likes to dress comfortably.
"I have this great dress that I bought and I wore once and it got photographed a ton," said Fergie. "Instead of just letting it sit in my closet, I wear it around the house. It’s comfortable and it’s silky and I figure why wear it just once? I want to feel great in my house."
And we’re sure her hot hubby Josh Duhamel doesn’t mind.
"Josh didn’t even recognize the dress, he just went ‘Oh, I love that,’" she told us. "He doesn’t care [what I wear]. He just loves me in a T-shirt."
Fergie’s advice to women is to not get caught up in trends and wear pieces that flatter your personal style.
"Be aware of the trends, but only utilize the ones that work for you," said Fergie.
