Ever wanted to dress like Kate Moss? You're in luck. The famous British model and fashion icon is collaborating with British fashion fave Topshop on a spring/summer line. In other words, capturing Kate's signature cool girl look just got a lot easier (and more affordable).
The Kate Moss Topshop collection arrives April 30 and will be sold globally in all Topshop stores and online at Topshop.com. Even better, you can also find it for a limited time in Nordstrom stores (at Nordstrom Fashion Square), Nordstrom.com and Net-a-Porter.com. "It's really exciting that it's going to be in 60 Nordstrom stores," Kate said, "because it's not just in New York and L.A. It's across the country."
This isn't the first time Kate has worked with the store; she also had a collection seven years ago. So what's different this time around? The feel and aesthetic of the collection.
For the current season, Kate worked with the Topshop design and buying teams to produce a more premium collection that reflects her 25 plus years of experience in the fashion industry as a model and fashion influencer: "My first collection was seven years ago and I have grown up since then and things that I want to wear are different. It is a natural evolvement. I learned a lot from my experience the first time around, so I didn't come in blind this time — I knew the process."
The Kate Moss Topshop collection
So what exactly can you expect to see when the spring/summer collection hits stores? Premium tailoring and details, luxurious fabrics (think silk chiffon, gold lamé and intricate lace) and most importantly, a cool take on Kate's personal style.
Kate drew from her love of several areas of fashion and culture to produce the line. One thing she was particularly inspired by? The Balearic Islands. Her love for the location is evident in a series of embroidered smock-tops, silk blouses and a white kaftan that are featured in the collection.
We can also look forward to some fun takes on the pajama dressing trend — luxe silk satin prints on blouses and trousers — and the ever classic cocktail hour look — slashed hemlines, intricate beadwork and vintage details. For those ladies who love the finer things, the Tailoring Noir-inspired pieces feature a selection of tuxes and trouser suits, a metallic lamé dress and lamé floral printed shirts.
Much like other recent celebrity and designer collaborations, Kate's Topshop collection makes affordable luxury a thing of reality for fashion lovers everywhere. The only problem? Now we want one of everything!
